  23.12.2008 - Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

  28.11.2008 - Roope is OK

Roope went to see a vet last Friday. Vet found muscleache and gave him painkillers. Masseuse visited us last Saturday and handled Roope's muscles. She is going to see Roope again in couple of weeks.

Roope enjoyed mouseroast. We wondered why he didn't come in in the evening. Mikko went to look for him and found him enjoying his meal. Today he has been even more enthusiastic sniffing around the yard. And belgians have followed him learning "basics of mousehunting".

Lotta and Vieno tervuerens came to play with boys last weekend. You can see pictures of their playin in our Gallery. On right you can see Rekku, Rolle and Lotta. At the moment snow is melting away. We'll see how long this whiteness lasts.

When I get everyday life running normal with work, it's time to start planning training for the winter.

  19.11.2008 - We have Winter!

We had a snowstorm last night and in the morning ground was white. Especially Roope is excited of it. Belgians had so much fun running and wrestling that snow was a minor point for them. We spent almost whole day outside and now we have a full house of tired dogs. Pictures from today's games are in Gallery in section "Kotipuuhia".

Roope hasn't been well lately. For some reason he started to be afraid of our bedroom. The room which has always been "his area". At the moment he doesn't want to go there at all. He want's to sleep by our fireplace so I made him a bed there.

Roope is going to see a vet on Friday. There have been guesses that his seeing has gone bad or he has pain somewhere. We hope that doctor find the problem and we can start to get rid of it.

I'll write about Roope after Friday's vetvisit.

9.11.2008 - Obedience today: 1. Prize in Winner class

Rasmus and I got a 1. Prize in an obedience-exam today in Kangasniemi. Start wasn't very good but it got better towards the end. There were five dogs in our class and we placed second. Now it's time to "pack up" this year and start practising things for the highest class. In the picture we're practising "square" earlier this week.

For this year we have no happenings left, and no plans for next year either. We'll see what comes along.

I added some pictures in our Gallery this week. It has been cold but belgians still went swimming, hrrrrr. Roope is just waiting for snow to come. That's all at this point.

11.10.2008 - Rolle passed Behaviour Test last weekend

Rolle and Mikko participated in a Behaviour Test last Saturday. Their result was Passed and therefore Rolle got his first title! I'm so proud of them.

Otherwise our life has recently been sickness after sickness. Rasmus had to take two hormone-shots to his prostate problems. Unfortunately he had epilepsyseizures after both shots. Both seizures were mild and Rasmus didn't mind them at all. Few weeks ago Rasmus slipped in our hall and hurt his front leg. He got medication for a week and got normal.

Also Rolle has hurt his leg. He got a deep wound while playing in forest. Wound opened three times before it finally got better. Because of this Rolle's Behaviour Test training got much less than planned. Fortunately they still succeeded.

Roope and Rekku have been fine, something good too. Unfortunately I have been out of order for four weeks because of back problems. Dogs have been resting with me and are full and full of energy.

I have added some new pictures to our new Gallery. Rasmus has an obedience-exam coming in the beginning of November. I really hope I will be healthy by then.

In the picture Rolle and Mikko are in Behaviour Test. Thanks for the photographer.

  3.8.2008 - Rolle's showresults

It's been a busy summer. Rolle went to a couple of shows during July. In Mikkeli on 5.7. he got disqualified because of his bite. In Finnish speciality he got Excellent. Both evaluations are written on his show-page. Rasmus had to stay home because he was on medication. He had a fight with alaskanmalamute Aksi and wounds needed antibiotics to heal.

Aksi-malamute lived with us for a month. He was supposed to live with us till January, when his owner comes home from the army. Aksi and Rasmus didn't get along dispite of many tries. Rasmus was finally so full of testosterone that he got mild prostate problems. He also got a little cut in his eye during a fight. We had to make a hard decision and Aksi moved to our mother. It's best for the dogs but we miss "our" little white giant a lot.

We are testing a new photogallery. There are some new pictures from this week. Welcome!

Something about the future too. Rolle is going into two shows on 16.-17.8. in Kouvola and Heinola. In October his going to a behaviour test too. Rasmus has two obedience-competitions coming. We'll see if we come up to something else too.

23.6.2008 - We moved to our new Home

Last Thurday we moved to our new Home. Dogs are so happy that it can't be described. They have played and played for hours per day on their new yard. Roope has hunted bumblebees and belgians eachother. Inside our things are still a big mess because we'e been busy enjoying our yard.

Our Midsummer party went doggish way. Dogs had five dogfriend visiting and they had very much fun. We took some pictures but it takes a while before I get it published. At the moment my own computer is somewhere in this chaos and I have only laptop to use.

Something about future too. 5.7. Rolle goes to dogshow in Mikkeli, 13.7. Rasmus to an agilitycompetition after a big break, and 19.7. we're going to Finnish Speciality.

When we get our training started, we'll see what else comes along with summer and fall.

In the picture Roope is enjoying life on our backyard.

  23.5.2008 - What's happening?

After all Rasmus and I managed to get to an obedience competition on 3.5. This time we didn't get a result but our working was good. More training and then a new try!

Rekku has lost 7 tooth recently. We went to see a dentist last week and Rekku was diagnosed with a desease which appears in cats. His "toothroot" are corroded an he will lose teeth from P1 till P4, at least. At the moment he hast lost 4xP1 and 3xP2. At the moment a don't have a name for this disease because doctor sends information some time in the future.

Dogs had a spreading diarrhea last week. Rasmus got it worst, Rolle mild and Rekku and Roope didn't get it at all. Now all are OK again.

At the moment we're busy with moving and rebuilding our new home. If dogs woulfd know what is coming they would have as big smiles on their faces as we humans are.

Next event is Rolle's dogshow in Tuuri on 8.6. After that comes Finnish Speciality. Rasmus and Rolle are going there, Rekku stays home with Roope.

  30.4.2008 - Healthy eyes!

Rasmus's, Rekku's and Rolle's eyes were checked on 25.4. Result was good, all three had perfectly healthy eyes. Our osteopath-trip also went well. Rasmus and Rolle were OK, Rekku had some jams, but treatment did good to him. On September Rekku is having treatment again, and Rasmus is getting his back checked again.

We've had so much other things to take care of, that all our competitions have been cancelled. This Saturday Rasmus would have had an obedience-competition, but now I'm on a sick-leave. Hopefully we manage to get somewhere during the summer.

We've had some toothproblems recently. Rasmus's I2 has been removed because it was broken. Rekku has loosed three P1. First one came off because of an accident. Other two came out with no reason. Rekku is going to see a dentist on 12.5.

We're going to move to countryside in a month. Dogs will have a half hectare to play on. Our new home is 20 kilometres from Mikkeli. Rasmus is going to an agilitycompetition on 18.5. and Rolle to a show on 8.6. if everything goes as planned.

  15.3.2008 - Rolle in dogshow

Rolle went to an international dogshow in Tampere today. Result was excellent! Rolle was first in open class with Excellent, placed fourth best male and got res-CAC and res-CACIB. Judge didn't mention anything about his teeth.

Rasmus's obedience-exam got cancelled for many reasons. We'll take another try in the beginning of April. I have also planned at least two agility starts for Rasmus in April.

I've added some pictures from January and February in our Gallery. Unfotunately we've had only few sunny days this winter. And when it shines, I'm usually at work and therefore had no time to take pictures.

Next Thursday belgians are going to see an osteopath. It's time to see how Rasmus's back is now when he has went to agilitytraining too. Rekku and Rolle are getting treatment just in case. Roope hates travelling in car, and will stay home.

Nothing else is planned at the moment. We'll see what spring brings along.

  29.1.2008 - A new year has started

Our new year changed as expected. Rasmus and Rolle didn't even notice the fireworks but Roope and Rekku were afraid. Inside they were quite ok, but didn't want to go out.

Our competitionseason started on 5.1. in Pieksämäki. Rasmus and I competed in obedience, but we didn't got result this time. We'll just have to keep on training.

Roope went to a little operation (cutting of a knot) in December and has healed well. Now he has only a littlebit of coat around the wound, as you can see from the picture on the left. Rasmus had an epilepsyseizure yesterday. Fortunately it was mild. Last seizure was half a year ago.

There are some new pictures from today in our Gallery. You can find them from freetimefolder by date.

Something about future too. Rasmus is going to an obedience-exam in February and Rolle to a dogshow in Tampere in March.

In the picture Roope is digging moles today.
