11.12.2007 - Some new updates

Rolle didn't go to Winner-show because we have kennelcough. Rekku is the only one who has symptoms, but it naturally means that whole herd has to be isolated from other dogs. Rolle brought this cough home from Jyväskylä's Dog Show. Rekku still coughs a few times a day but otherwise he is normal. We're going to see vet today and ask his opinion about Rekku's disease. Roope is going to a little operation today. He has had a knot in his back and a week ago it suddenly got inflamed. Roope has eaten antibiotics for a week so that the knot can be operated away. We hope that everything goes well. At the same visit all four dogs are going to be vaccinated. Our page has got a bit of new look. There are still some things I'll have to work with, but most is ok. I'll update Roope's feelings in a couple of days.
24.11.2007 - New photos and results!

I added some new pictures to our Photogallery. As you can see, sortingproblems are still there. You can find our snowy pictures from "freetime241107". Here has been a beautiful day today! Rasmus went to an obedience-eaxam on 11.11. We got 3. prize and placed third. More training and a new try in the spring. Rolle got Very Good and placed second in open class in Jyväskylä on 17.11. Next to Helsinki and Winner-show on 8.12.
4.11.2007 - Some new pictures!

You can find some new pictures of dogs having fun. More will be added as soon as we see that the gallery works properly. You are welcome to our new Photogallery. And something from coming events too. Rasmus is going to an obedience exam next sunday. We have visited a personal trainer few times and our working has got lot better. Lot still has to be done before we can get good results. Rolle is going to take part in two dogshows, in Jyväskylä on 17.11. and in Helsinki 9.12. We'll see how the gallery works. There are still some sorting problems, but we're working on it all the time. 9.10.2007 - Rolle's character test and Rasmus's obedience exam

Rolle took part into a Finnish character test on Saturday in Helsinki. He got 158 points and was shotproof. You can find more information of the test on Rolle's character-page. Rasmus went to an obedience exam in Rantasalmi on Sunday with me. Our first time in the Winnerclass was very pleasant experience. We got 195,5 points out of 320, which means 3. Prize, and placed 2. Videos of both events are going to be published as soon as possible.
31.8.2007 - Our summer

Well well, where should I start.. Let's start from June and Finnish Speciality. Rolle got Very Good because of his bite. Rasmus got Excellent and placed third in open class! We spent the night in a cottage owned by Saarilan Maatilamatkailu. The cottage and view was excellent. Rasmus's back is finally healthy! We visited osteopath three times and did some exercises at home and these together helped. Now he has lived totally normal life and enjoys it very much. Something good often brings something bad for us too, and this time it was epilepsy that got our moods down. Rasmus got two seizures one after another on 19.7. We were jogging and suddenly he started to stagger. It passed soon and we turned towards home. We didn't get very far when another seizure came. This was stronger than the first one and Rasmus had to lay down and wait for it to pass. Both seizures lasted about a minute. Otherwise our summer has went well. We haven't had much time to train dogs, and that's why there are no results from this summer. Nowadays our household has only one lastname, and now we can consentrate more on dogs. That was our summer in a nutshell. Rasmus is going to an obedience-exam in the beginning of October, first time in the Winnerclass. Other happenings are still under consideration.
29.5.2007 - Rolle in dogshows and Rasmus is recovering well

Rolle has participated in two shows recently. In Hamina he got Excellent and was fourth best male and in Ristiina even a bit better when he got Excellent and was third best male. Rolle's next show is in Kangasniemi on 9.6. Judge will be Leni Nousiainen. After that our next event will be speciality show on 30.6. Rasmus's back has caused us more worry than we first thought. His back was x-rayed on 25.4. and again on 3.5. Vet also took Magnetic Rays of his back (Eläinsairaala Aisti). There is a little mutation in one of his back vertebra, but according to the vet, that doesn't cause him any problems. Diagnose was that he got some kind of muscle-injury during agilitytraining. He just had too much fun and didn't have time to show that something happened. After visiting the vet, we visited an osteopath. She found problems from Rasmus's back and treated him. She also noticed that Rasmus had problems with balance. We got rehabilition instructions and we're going to visit her again on Saturday. Rasmus has definately got better. His movements are getting back to normal, and balance too. I really hope that he can get back to normal life after Saturday. I have lots of new pictures too, but there seems to be no time to deal with them. I'll try to find some time in the near future.
15.4.2007 - Health information of Rasmus

Let's start with the good news. Rasmus's stomach has been well. He had his last medication a week ago and now we just hope that situation stays as good as it is now. Unfortunately Rasmus hurt his back in agilitytraining on Thursday. I don't know how and exactly when, I noticed it after training. We went to vet directly from training and doctor noticed that Rasmus's backmuscles were in total cramp. Rasmus got pain killers and B-vitamin. Next day (on Friday) we went to see the vet again and Rasmus's diagnose is muscleinfection in his back. He got again an injection of pain killers. Rasmus can't eat any pain killers because they could harm his stomach. At the moment back is still swollen but getting slowly better all the time. I'll call the vet again tomorrowmorning and ask for more advice with him.
29.3.2007 - Rolle in Tampere

Not bad, not bad.. Rolle got excellent from special judge Michel Griol in Tampere on Sunday. Evaluation is written on Rolle's show-page. Next Rolle is going to Hamina (13.5. Jouko Yrjölä) and Ristiina (17.5. Alar Muurisepp). We'll see what they say about Rolle's bite. Rasmus has healed very well, at least that's how he seems. He gets medication still for a week and after that we just hope for the best.
19.3.2007 - New pictures and other updates

Finally updates!! Our first quarter of the year hasn't really been what we expected. Rasmus has had much bad luck recently. At first he had a fight with Roope and hurt his eye. Fortunately the cut was only in his eyelid and healed fast. Two weeks ago Rasmus started throwing up and there came a few drops of blood also. We thought he had just eaten some stick and it would have scrathed his throat. After four days of throwing up bloodamount clearly raised and we went to see a vet. Rasmus was put to narcosis examined very wide and diagnose is gastric ulcer and his "gastricport" (I don't know a word for it) was very inflamed too. He got lots of medication and has to take them for a month. After the vetvisit he hasn't thrown up anymore. This isn't still all for Rasmus. He had an epilepsyseizure on 16.3. precisely a week after he was in narcosis. Could it be the reason for this seizure, I don't know. We hope that Rasmus's luck turns better soon. Rolle is going to a dogshow on weekend (25.3.) to be judged by a special judge Michel Griol. Otherwise our plans are open at the moment. Rolle is training for a behaviour test and Rasmus for searching and obediencecompetitions as soon as he gets better. There are new photos in our Gallery. Rolle's evaluation from Tampere is going to be updated after weekend.
14.1.2007 - Welcome year 2007!

Our New Year went as expected. Roope and Rekku were afraid of the fireworks and Rasmus and Rolle didn't even notice that something was going on. Our first competition for this year is probably a agilitycompetition on 10.2. with Rasmus. Rolle will probably go to a dogshow in Tampere on 25.3. At the moment dogs are having fun in snow, we finally have winter!
